Visa Information

Student visa

If you wish to study in Australia for more than 12 weeks you will need a student visa. A student visa holder must study in a full time course and be covered by Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).

Student visa holders are permitted to work for up to 20 hours per week provided that all course  attendance requirements are met. Student visa holders must complete a minimum of 80% of scheduled classes.

Tourist / Visitor Visa

For non-residents a tourist or visitor visa will allow you to study for up to 12 weeks. You will need to apply for a student visa if you plan to study for longer than 12 weeks. Tourist/visitor visas do not allow you to undertake paid employment.

Working Holiday Visa

If you have a working holiday visa you can study for up to 17 weeks.

Skilled Migration Temporary Resident Visa (Sub-class 485)

Allows Australian university graduates to work and study for up to 18 months.

Special Programs Visa

Allows entry for up to 12 months for Internship applicants. For further visa information visit www.immi.gov.au
